    iW NEWS | Telluride Fest Welcomes PFA's Kramer as Guest Director

    Edith R. Kramer has been named the guest director for the upcoming Telluride Film Festival (August 31 - September 3, 2007). The retired Senior Film Curator and Director of the Pacific Film Archive at UC Berkeley, Kramer served for 22 years at the organization. "Edith has introduced me to many films and filmmakers I might never have discovered otherwise," said festival co-director Gary Meyer, in a statement. "Her international reputation will result in Kramer bringing movies to Telluride that nobody else could get from archives, and her introductions will have audiences anxious for more."     Six musicians have been selected for the 10th Sundance Institute Composers Lab, taking place July 24 - August 9 in Sundance, Utah. This year's Composers Lab Fellows are Jeremy Flower, Derrick Hodge, Shahzad Ali Ismaily, Enis Rotthoff, Gingger Shankar, and Jeff Toyne.
