    "Crashing to Open 12th Gen Art Fest; New Chicago Edition to Launch in June

    The New York premiere of Gary Walkow's "Crashing," starring Campbell Scott will open the 12th Gen Art Film Festival on Wednesday, April 11, organizers announced Wednesday. Frank Cappello's NY debut of "He Was a Quiet Man" with Christian Slater, Elisha Cuthbert and William H. Macy will close the fest on April 17.     80th Academy Awards Set for February 24, '08

    The 80th Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, February 24, 2008, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Sid Ganis announced Wednesday. As in the recent past, the ceremony will take place from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and broadcast in the U.S. by the ABC network. Nomination ballots will be sent December 26 and due January 12.
