    iW NEWS | Rockefeller Funds $750,000 for 22 Artists

    Renew Media has announced the roster of twenty-two artists who are receiving Media Arts fellowships funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. Twenty film, video, and new media artists will receive $35,000, while two emerging film/video artists will each receive $10,000.     The 80th Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, February 24, 2008, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Sid Ganis announced Wednesday. As in the recent past, the ceremony will take place from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and broadcast in the U.S. by the ABC network. Nomination ballots will be sent December 26 and due January 12.
