    Regent Releasing has announced its deal for U.S. rights to Majid Majidi's "The Song of Sparrows," the Iranian submission for the best foreign language Oscar. The film is set for a theatrical release next spring. Regent's Mark Reinhart brokered the deal with Fortissimo's Winnie Lau. The Warner Brothers release averaged $20,143, grossing $141,000 from just 7 locations. Its total since opening Wednesday is $199,885. Just behind was the release of Mike Leigh's "Happy-Go-Lucky."
