Peter Knegt

indieWIRE

Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Peter Knegt has been working with indieWIRE since September 2006, when he interned for them during the Toronto International Film Festival. Since then, he’s managed to stick around, becoming iW’s Associate Editor and writing weekly columns focusing on both box office and the awards race.  Beyond indieWIRE, Knegt has contributed as a writer to several publications including Variety, Xtra!, Exclaim, ION Magazine, and Playback, served as juror and panelist at the Atlanta International Film Festival, and has worked for the Reel Asian International Film Festival, the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, Image+Nation Montreal Gay and Lesbian Film and Video Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival, and co-programmed the inaugural year of the Reel Out Film Festival in Halifax.
