Rob Nelson

Variety

Rob Nelson has been a member of the National Society of Film Critics since 1998. He is the recipient of three awards each from the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies and the Society of Professional Journalists, and has served on film festival juries in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Miami, and Vancouver. His writing has appeared in Variety, Film Comment, The Village Voice, The Boston Phoenix, Mother Jones, Utne Reader, indieWIRE, and Cinema Scope. His article about “The Insect Woman” is included in the Smithsonian Institution’s Shohei Imamura booklet, “A Man Vanishes.”
