Synopsis: A Romania-set, based-on-a-true-story tale that follows Alina, a young woman who returns to her home country after living in Germany and reunites with a friend that she has known for years since their childhood in the same orphanage. The friend now lives in a rural Orthodox monastery, and turns down Alina's request to come back with her to Germany, having found a family with the nuns and priests. From here, we won't spoil it, but the story takes a dramatic turn that eventually involves a police investigation. [Synopsis via The Playlist]
