Milan is 20 years old and half Serbian, half Hungarian. In 1992, two years into the war, he deserts from the army and escapes from Yugoslavia to Hungary. As a former medical student he gets a job in the Budapest ambulance service, working as a paramedic. He soon realizes that the ambulance driver and one of the doctors sometimes allow people to die. This illegal euthanasia has a financial side linked to the funeral business. Milan faces a dilemma, because he needs money to finance his fiancée’s rescue from war-torn Sarajevo. A black comedy about pumping up the funeral business.
