I love French films. However, this film could have been much better. It was very slow and uneventful. It was as though they made a two hour movie from nothing but one incident. There was a pretty Muslim women asking the doctor about some love concerns but while I was waiting for something to develop it fell flat and was never addressed again. There was a nice-looking Muslim man in the very beginning that one would think he would have had some plot develop around him....but nothing happened. The numbers of times the monks spent in the chapel singing and praying was also irritating and boring. I would love to recommend this movie but cannot. I saw folks sleeping in the movie and I don't blame them.
