"The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada" director/star Tommy Lee Jones (second from left) brought out his former college roommate, Al Gore (Jones said they lived together forty years ago this summer) for the New York premiere of his latest film, which is also his directorial debut. The New York screening was co-hosted by the Museum of the Moving Image at the Paris Theater. Following the screening, we followed the former Veep (wish we could say Prez) and wife Tipper Gore (right) to a dinner organized by famed New York publicist Peggy Siegal (not pictured). Jones and Gore posed for a pic at Brasserie 8 1/2 along with Michael Barker, co-president of Sony Pictures Classics and Jones' wife, Dawn Jones. The dinner included steak and fries (or polente for the veggies) as well as corn tortillas and salsa and some damn good margaritas.
