Introducing a filmmaker he greatly admires, at the New York Film Critics Circle awards dinner Sunday, Ang Lee praised Wong Kar-wai, winner of the best foreign language film prize. Referring to Wong's films, he said, "We feel them as if they are opium. Either its a dream, or we are drugged." On stage to accept his award, WKW offered equal praise to Ang Lee, saying that he and his family traveled to New York for New Year's this year, to see his wife's family...he decided to spend New Year's Day in NYC catching up on new films and praised "Brokeback Mountain" as the best film he has seen in the past year.
