In "Catch a Fire," Phillip Noyce's latest film (opening later this month from Focus Features), Derek Luke (right) stars as Patrick Thibedi (aka Patrick Chamusso, center), whose wife is played by Bonnie Henna (aka Bonnie Mbuli, left). The three posed for an iPOP shot Wednesday in New York City at a reception toasting the new film. I've already blogged a bit about Derek Luke, who shines in this film in a performance bound to stir awards season attention. Meanwhile, the man he portrays, Patrick Thibedi (a former ANC political prisoner), seemed thrilled to take a moment to pose for the shot. After a press tour, he will return to Two Sisters, a charity for AIDS orphans that he runs in northeast South Africa with his wife, where they care for some 76 children.
