Ngozi Onwura (director) and Sharon Foster (writer) of "Shoot the Messenger" at AFI Fest earlier this week. "Shoot" is described as a "controversial film that chronicles an idealistic black professional who decieds to become a teacher in order to enhance the lives of young black students." The film is screening in the festival's new African Voices section.
