Quinn noted that, while it wasn't announced during the ceremony, the jury awarded a special mention to the ensemble cast of the film for their work. On stage during the program, Eska thanked Maya Releasing, Moctesuma Esparza's company which announced a deal for the film earlier this week at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
