The film industry affectionately calls it "prom night," referring to the glitzy opening night of the annual
New York Film Festival that annually kicks off with a traditional "black tie" party at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. While many of the industry's old guard tend to don tuxes, the younger set be seen in dresses for the women and four in hand neckties for the guys. Pictured left to right are (front row)
Shani Ankori, who will be joining
IFC Films soon with IFC's
Courtney Ott,
Kim Jose from the production company
Elephant Eye and
Tribeca Film Festival programmer
David Kwok with (back row)
Steve Troha from
St. Martins Press and
HD Net's
Laird Adamson.
