Posing for a shot together here at the Telluride Film Festival this weekend are "Persepolis" directors Marjane Satrapi (left) and Vincent Parronaud (right) with their film's distributor Michael Barker (co-president of Sony Pictures Classics). The film, based on Satrapi's acclaimed graphic novels, is a coming-of-age animated film depicting her struggle while growing up amidst the personal and political turmoil caused by the revolution in Iran. The French-language film, an award-winner at the Cannes Film Festival this year, features the voices of Catherine Deneuve, her daughter Chiara Mastroianni, and Danielle Darrieux. "Persepolis" will screen next week at the Toronto International Film Festival before closing the New York Film Festival in October.
