"Snow Angels" director David Gordon Green and actress Olivia Thirlby just prior to their chat with iW's editor-in-chief Eugene Hernandez at the Apple Store in New York's SoHo Wednesday evening. Green noted that from "an insane age, he wanted to be a filmmaker," and recounted how his father took him out of school one day in Texas where he grew up to be an extra on the set of "Born on the 4th of July," starring Tom Cruise. "I watched [director] Oliver Stone on set, and I was like, 'I want that job...'" Warner Independent opens "Snow Angels" this Friday.
