“Binoche” and Klapisch Bring “Paris” to NYC
by Brian Brooks (September 11, 2009)
Director Cédric Klapisch and actress Juliette Binoche arrived at New York’s IFC Center Thursday evening for a screening Klapisch’s feature “Paris.” During the introduction of the film, Ms. Binoche said she was looking forward to seeing the film again and watching the audience react to it. Mr. Klapisch, who arrived in New York on Wednesday morning, said: “Tonight you will be going to ‘Paris.’ I hope you are as jet-lagged as I am right now by the end of the film.” Ms. Binoche is in NYC for “Jubilations,” the BAMcinématek retrospective of her films, and her dance performance “In-I,” also at BAM. IFC Films will open “Paris” in New York and Los Angeles on September 18, with a national release to follow. [Caption and photo by Carla Saad] 282 of 289 images
