NYFF ‘07 | “Persepolis” Celebrates NYFF Closing last Sunday
by indieWIRE (October 17, 2007)
Kodak hosted the closing night soiree for the 45th New York Film Festival along with Unifrance Sunday night in Midtown Manhattan. Lauded Cannes '07 feature "Persepolis" closed the venerable festival and the film's co-director (and inspiration) Marjane Satrapi (right) joined the party along with the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Richard Pena (middle) and Sony Classics' Dylan Leiner. Catherine Deneuve, who also lends her voice in the animated film, attended the party as well, though she did seem to make a hasty exit. But fans of the French legend did get a few Deneuve drive-byes as she darted around the event. She will soon travel to that big drive-by out West, Los Angeles, where she'll pick up an award at AFI Fest.
