Streep is “Taking Woodstock”

Streep is “Taking Woodstock”

by Brian Brooks (July 30, 2009)

Meryl Streep joined in on the fun at the “Taking Woodstock” party Wednesday night in Manhattan following the NYC debut screening of the film by Oscar-winning director Ang Lee. Perhaps Streep braved the rain and humidity as a sort of not-so-dry-run for the NYC premiere of her latest, “Julie & Julia” Thursday night… Despite the threat of showers, the party was quite fun, and many turned on the ‘60s clothes, while others tuned into the ‘60s tracks (followed later by ‘70s and ‘80s alterna), and a few others dropped out onto the deck of the Bowery Hotel for ciggies (we think regular ones) and some chit chat. Check out more from the party and director/cast comments at indieWIRE.com. [Photo credit: Marion Curtis/Startraksphoto.com]
