The 10th edition of the Nantucket Film Festival will kick-off tomorrow in Massachusetts with the North American premiere of Jim Jarmusch's "Broken Flowers," fresh from its Grand Prix win at the Festival de Cannes last month. The event will continue through Sunday at the popular New England island resort. Andrew and Luke Wilson's "The Wendell Baker Story" will close the festival. Steve Martin will receive the NBC Universal Screenwriters Tribute, presented by Lorne Michaels and hosted again by network news anchor Brian Williams. Peter Farrelly will be back at the festival this year hosting the popular Late Night Storytelling event. Eugene Hernandez reports.

Nearly every single day this month a notable film festival is underway somewhere in the United States. Over the years June has emerged as a key festival month, welcoming international events in big cities like Seattle and Los Angeles, queer fests in San Francisco and New York, a solid southern event in Atlanta, and numerous weekend festivals in resort towns like Nantucket, Newport and Provincetown. That's more than 120 film festival days packed into just one month. Eugene Hernandez reports on a busy month for fests.
