If a film is seemingly gratuitous in its portrayal of torture, brutality, sexual assault and human humiliation or anything else, is there ground for its banning?

Yes, the public needs some form of protection from having to support such work.
No, one person's offense is another person's art.
The public can choose to "censor" a film by simply not going.
No, a banning only gives such a film more attention.
