There are all sorts of qualifiers to this summer becoming the most financially robust in box office history. Chief amongst them are both the inferior product, but also the illusion of 3D prices, which do an excellent job of covering up the consistently-dropping attendance numbers. In other words, mo...

Generally speaking, the biggest problem for found-footage horror movies is creating sufficient reason or motivation for the characters to keep filming even when everything is going wrong. But “Apollo 18” somehow manages to solve that problem while creating a whole host of other ones, not the least of which happen because because filmmaker Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego decided to set his mash-up of “Paranormal Activity” and “The Fourth Kind” on the moon in 1973. Derivative, dumb, suspenseless and worst of all boring, “Apollo 18” fulfills no expectations except those of the low quality of films released over Labor Day weekend, a notorious dumping groun...

Release Date Shuffle: 'Final Destination 5' Moves Up Two Weeks To Aug 12th, 'Apollo 18' Replaces It

'Our Idiot Brother' Likely Looking For A New SlotThe term "Release Date Shuffle" can refer to a number of things. Further back, the Release Date Shuffle was also a Vic...

What did you expect from a film that only started shooting a couple of months ago for a release date in April? It's a quickie, cheapie job that looks, well, every bit as good as you might expect a movie operating with this kind of chintzy budget might look like.
