Fox Pushes Back Spy Thriller 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' Starring Colin Firth (TRAILER)

One Comic-Con movie that I actually wanted to see has been pushed back from October 24 to February 2015. It's Matthew Vaughn's spy flick "Kingsman: The Secret Service," which to be fair, looks like it might play better in a less competitive time frame.

Screen Talk: from Comic-Con's Sublime 'Interstellar' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy' to James Franco

This week Eric Kohn and I have plenty to chew over. We dig into Comic-Con, parse the promise of Chris Nolan's "Interstellar" --who's the audience, anyway?--and debate Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" as well as offering our picks of the week. I'm in the thrall of Brendan Gleeson, while Kohn argues...

Dowdle Brothers Talk Supernatural Paris Catacombs of 'As Above, So Below' at Comic-Con (TRAILER)

The found-footage sub-genre has really come of age, and the Dowdle Brothers ("Quarantine") give it their own supernatural spin with "As Above, So Below" (Aug. 29). But although they were playing with an Indiana Jones-like archaeological bit of horror, John Erick and Drew told me after the Legendary ...

10 Comic Books That Deserve To Be Movies

As we all know, you can’t swing a cat in a multiplex without hitting a comic book movie of some kind (or without being prosecuted on animal cruelty charges). So far in 2014, “I Frankenstein,” “300: Rise Of An Empire,” “Noah” (kind of), “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2...

Guillermo Del Toro Talks the Horror and Romance of 'Crimson Peak' at Comic-Con

Guillermo del Toro, who's become quite the Comic-Con fixture, hugging fanboys and journos alike, admits that his gothic horror-romance, "Crimson Peak" (Oct. 16, 2015), is the biggest movie he's ever made. "Not only the scope is bigger, but I'm going to use a word that I don't normally touch, and tha...

Watch: Things Get All Labyrinth-y & Out Of Breath In The New Trailer For ‘The Maze Runner’

The shortage of ideas in Hollywood often manifests itself around the metrics of success and sometimes even fear. No one likes to look like the exec who has no clue. Therefore when the Marvel plan does gangbusters, every other studio has to form a similar iteration. When “Twilight” and YA becomes a t...

    Charlie Chaplin At Comic-Con

I participated in four panel discussions at Comic-Con 2014 last week, two of which I hosted. I expected to see 'Star Wars' figures and characters from 'Game of Thrones,' but I didn’t expect to cross paths with the Little Tramp.

Titans Peter Jackson and George Miller Take Over the Con with 'Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies' and 'Mad Max: Fury Road' (POSTERS & TRAILERS)

Despite the momentary wow factor of glimpsing that spooky stare-down in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," (yes, Ben Affleck looks perfectly suited as The Dark Knight), the real joy of the Warner Bros. Hall H panel on Saturday was Peter Jackson and George Miller geeking out about the "The Hobbit"...
