'The Wolfman' Lives As NBC Series, D.J. Caruso To Direct Sci-Fi Pilot 'Tin Man' & Diablo Cody Teams With Oprah Winfrey

Despite the dead-on-arrival 2010 film, it seems “The Wolfman” is being revived for the small screen, thanks in no small part to successful shows like the FOX show “Sleepy Hollow,” NBC’s “Dracula” or any of the other dozens of vampire-centric, fairy tale-esque, horror-tinged shows currently on air.

D.J. Caruso To Helm Sci-Fi Disaster Pic 'Invertigo,' Set For March 7, 2014 Release

The story of excitable, if journeyman-level director D.J. Caruso is a long one, with him starting off his career with moodier fare like “The Salton Sea” and the far less impressive “Taking Lives,” before eventually delving into young-adult-prone projects like “Vertigo,&...

D.J. Caruso Might Take 'A Walk Among The Tombstones'

D.J. Caruso has had an interesting career thus far. He started doing moodier fare like "The Salton Sea" and less notably the Angelina Jolie thriller "Taking Lives." He detoured into the sports gambling movie "Two for the Money" before dropping the Hitchock-ripping "Disturbia," the actioner "Eagle Eye" and then this year's "I Am Number Four." The curious thing is that all of his movies have been middling. Not terrible, but not really that good either, and he's profitable and enthusiastic enough to still get his name on pictures. He already has the comic adaptation "Preacher" on his table, but a decidedly different sort of movie might come firs...

It was only a matter of time after director D.J. Caruso closed the deal to direct the long-gesting comic adaptation "Preacher" last month that casting rumors would begin to surface, but who would've guessed they would be coming from the director himself.

D.J. Caruso Closes Deal To Direct 'Preacher'

While "I Am Number Four" did decent, though not gangbusters numbers over the long holiday weekend, the results combined with the decent CinemaScore of B+ from moviegoers seem to have propelled director D.J. Caruso into his next project. The helmer hit Twitter late last night to announce, "My deal ju...
