Martin Scorsese's 'Hugo' Gets A Heart-Shaped Key & 'The Thing' Isn't Human (Yet) On New Posters

Well, it's officially official. Due to some pretty boneheaded decision made up in a studio executive's office, Martin Scorsese's "Hugo Cabret" has indeed dropped half of the title to become simply "Hugo." It features Isabelle's heart-shaped key that proves to be a major...

The Playlist Foolishly, and Prematurely, Tries To Predict The 2012 Best Picture Oscar Nominations

It would be safe to say that The Playlist is as sick of the just-wrapped-up awards season as anyone. The endless ceremonies, often with the same results, the blind guesses, the half-informed speculation; by the time it reaches March, we're kind of furious with the whole circus.

'Hugo Cabret' To Cost More Than 'Inception'?For better or worse, it could be argued that Martin Scorsese's been operating within his comfort zone in recent years: "The Departed" and the HBO pilot "Boardwalk Empire," while both terrific, were both within the gangster genre that Scorsese's always been...
