Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ryan Gosling & Alexander Skarsgård Reportedly Wishlisted For 'Man From UNCLE'

Plus Our Five Suggestions For Potential Replacements For George Clooney In The FilmWith his virus thriller "Contagion" riding on top of the box office (and causing an epidemic of O.C.D. hand-washing from anyone who's seen it), Steven Soderbergh's about to shoot his next film, the male-stripper drama "Magic Mike." But talk has already turned to his next, next film, "The Man From U.N.C.L.E," the second of three he plans to shoot before taking a sabbatical. That film, slated to go in front of cameras in February, hit something of a roadblock a few weeks back when Soderbergh's regular collaborator George Clooney was forced to drop out of the lead...

TIFF '11 Review: Admirable, Low-Key ’50/50’ Splits Difference Between Genuinely Funny And Sad

Let's get this out of the way early; the cancer dramedy, "50/50," formerly known as "I'm With Cancer," is an admirable effort by all the parties involved. There's maturity and restraint shown throughout in this story, about a healthy young twentysomething man staring his mortality in the face when he is suddenly diagnosed with a rare spinal cancer, and it's a well-intentioned humanistic drama that tries to demonstrate that life is complicated and never quite cut and dry. The measured film takes pains to illustrate there is laughter to be derived in difficult and near-tragic situations and melancholy can also be found in some of the most humor...

New Poster For Jonathan Levine's '50/50' Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Seth Rogen

The term "dramedy" gets thrown around fairly loosely these days but one film we're expecting to really push the boundaries of the genre union is the upcoming story of a man's fight against cancer, masterminded by dynamic comedy duo of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Spencer Susser Thought Joseph Gordon-Levitt Was All Wrong For 'Hesher' & 10 More Revelations

The Young Actor Had To Convince The Director He Could Play The Part“I had never read a script that had so much pain and heartbreak and tragedy in it and at the same time it had so much absurd humor,” said "Hesher" co-star Rainn Wilson, “It was so funny and sad and sick and dark, and you don't really know whether to laugh or cry at any given moment.” Written and directed by first time feature helmer, Spencer Susser, "Hesher" follows a family (Devin Brochu and Rainn Wilson) broken by the shock of a sudden death in the family, and the equally as sudden addition to their life of an anarchist metal head (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), who moves into the g...

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Says His 'Hesher' Character Was Loosely Modeled After Metallica's Cliff Burton

Plus Director Spencer Susser & Star On Their Unique Central CharacterAs far as family dramas go, “Hesher” is somewhat of a different breed. The story of a father and young son suffering the recent loss of their wife and mother, things seem to take a turn for the worse, when TJ (the son) accidentally brings an anarchist metal head into his grandmother's home and his family's life. While we weren't taken by “Hesher” as a whole, this writer found the film’s namesake, and chaotic center, to be one of the more fascinating characters introduced on screen in a while – and certainly another card to add to the stack of notable performances from Joseph...
