Luke Evans & Kristin Scott Thomas Join Nicolas Winding Refn's 'Only God Forgives'

Just a little bit of a history lesson before we begin: Danish auteur Nicolas Winding Refn had originally planned to shoot "Only God Forgives" before a little project called "Drive" with Ryan Gosling fell into his lap. And while he went off to shoot the upcoming Cannes-competing flick, "Only God Forgives" stayed on his radar, and last summer he said that not only did he still plan to make it, he would starting lensing once he was finished up with "Drive." More recently, composer Cliff Martinez -- who has scored "Drive" -- told us in an extensive interview that while he's tentatively talked to Refn about "Logan's Run," the director was planning...

Cliff Martinez To Score Nicolas Winding Refn's 'Drive'

It may not surprise you when we say that we're extremely excited about Nicolas Winding Refn's "Drive." The Danish director made a massive impression with the one-two punch of "Bronson" and "Valhalla Rising" a couple of years back, both films confirming the promise he showed with the "Pusher" trilogy...

'Tales From The Gangster Squad' Writer Will Beall May Rewrite 'Logan's Run' For Nicolas Winding Refn

Considering the spate of remakes and reboots, it takes a real feat to rouse our interest in one. Even with a promising creative team involved, a new version can sometimes just end up feeling redundant with many projects -- some simply don't need to be remade. But at the same time, we're not against ...

We Just Crapped Our Pants: Ryan Gosling & Nicolas Winding Refn Team For 'Logan's Run'

Ahhh! This is what Ryan Gosling was alluding to. Let's face it, we didn't give a shit about the "Logan's Run" remake throughout its long development history that saw a number of directors -- notably Bryan Singer and more recently Carl Erik Rinsch (who is moving on to do "47 Ronin") -- circle the dir...

We're bordering on giving Nicolas Winding Refn a *** job with all the myriad reports on his work, but what can we say, we admire the Danish filmmakers work ("Bronson," "The Pusher" trilogy, "Valhalla Rising") and his upcoming film "Drive" is very high up on our most anticipated 2011 list. So we'll k...

Ryan Gosling & Nicolas Winding Refn May Team Up Again For An Undisclosed "Pop Culture Franchise"

Actor Says He'd Consider A Role Like 'The Flash' If The Danish Filmmaker Was Directing; Has Discussed 'Wonder Woman' With Him TooEXCLUSIVE: We recently sat down and talked with Ryan Gosling about Derek Cianfrance's very-excellent and now R-Rated relationship drama “Blue Valentine,” and yes, of course our conversation veered off into other topics chiefly Gosling's upcoming collaboration with Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn on the action drama, "Drive," co-starring Carey Mulligan. A big fan of the director's gnarly, twisted and previous works like the prison drama, "Bronson," or the near-psychedelic, meditative Viking actioner,"Valhalla R...
