If it's not completely obvious, "Pearl Jam Twenty" is the name of the new retrospective documentary about the first twenty years of influential Seattle rock band Pearl Jam. But, as directed by Cameron Crowe, whose mind operates on another level of meta-textual cross-indexed pop cultural awareness, it's also a nod to the name of the first Pearl Jam album, Ten (the number of former New Jersey Nets point guard Mookie Blaylock, who the band was originally named after). Tracklist For 'Pearl Jam Twenty' Soundtrack Plus First Listen To 'Crown Of Thorns'
In celebration of the band's 20th anniversary (yes, it's been that long, you're old), Cameron Crowe's documentary, "Pearl Jam Twenty" is right around the corner. Making its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, of course it wouldn't be a Pearl Jam film without a soundtrack. Comprised of live cuts and demos, the two-disc soundtrack will arrive on September 20th, to coincide with the doc, and will include 29 unreleased tracks.
