'Superman' Will Start Shooting June 2011, Filmmakers Looking For Someone Between 28-32 Years Old

When is a casting story not a casting story? When it's Deadline's latest rambling exclusive that the search for the next Superman to head up Zack Snyder's "Superman: Man Of Steel" is underway. While the piece runs down pretty much every name that has been rumored for the part over the past little wh...

So, we were jawing around the Playlist watercooler today about how with three high profile comic book movies set to hit next year -- "Thor," "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Green Lantern" -- they can't all be mega hits. Is 'The Green Hornet 2' Already In The Works?

Earlier this summer, things didn't look good for Sony and Michel Gondry's "The Green Hornet." Geek reception to the early trailers were not good and the decision to retrofit the film to 3D (a move Gondry defends as being planned from day one) coupled with a January release date spelled disaster in t...

Christopher Nolan To Shoot 'The Dark Knight Rises' Completely In IMAX?

Old Rumor Surfaces Once AgainPerhaps running just as long as the rumor that the Riddler would be the villain in "The Dark Knight Rises" (which was one of the first things the secretive Christopher Nolan denied about the project) the second persistent tidbit about the forthcoming film was that Christopher Nolan and his regular DP Wally Pfister were strongly considering shooting it completely in IMAX. Of course, Nolan utilized the format for certain segments for "The Dark Knight," but due to the camera's bulky nature and noisy operation, at the time it was largely limited to exteriors or brief action sequences (notably, the opening bank heist)...
