    Summer Movie Season Doldrums. "Where's The Beef?" Or Maybe "More Cowbell?" And Other Catchphrases...

    To be sure, there were a few standard issue studio-backed summer movies that I saw and wasn't entirely insulted by. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" was good enough, but not great. "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" was ok. And there were 2 or 3 others. It's just that none of them really hooked me.
