Will Brosnan, Pierce Brosnan, Have A Bond-ing Experience With Moviegoers This Week? And Will 'As Above, So Below" Rise Top The Top of the Labor Day Heap?

If you thought last weekend at the box office was a bit light, just wait a few more days. Universal's "As Above, So Below" and Relativity's "November Man" are the lone wide openers but will either dethrone the Guardians, or even the Turtles for that matter?

Can 'Sin City' Unseat TMNT and 'Guardians'? Can a Football Movie NOT Set in the South Work? This Week's Previews & Predictions...

Frank Miller's "Sin City" Chronicles return after a nine year big screen absence to hopefully prove that R rated action movies work better than watered-down PG-13's do, Sony hopes "When The Game Stands Tall" recalls the glory of "Friday Night Lights" and "Remember The Titans" and Chloe Grace Moretz ...

Owen Wilson asks 'Are You Here' and Molina & Lithgow Prove 'Love Is Strange' in This Week's Indie Releases

The most interesting indie release of the week is surely "Love Is Strange", a relationship drama with Alfred Molina and John Lithgow from "Married Life" director Ira Sachs. Also opening this week are VOD day-and-date releases "The One I Love" with Mark Duplass and "Are You Here" with Owen Wilson an...

Turtles and Talking Trees Tattoo Competition As 'Expendables 3", 'Let's Be Cops" and 'The Giver' Underwhelm

Well it was nice while it lasted. Hollywood's return to glory days of the past three weeks came to a clunking halt this weekend as none of the three new openers could unseat returnees "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Guardians of the Galaxy"

'Expendables 3' Off To Middling Start w/$875,000 From Thursday Late Shows, 'Giver' Also Underwhelming

Perhaps the 7pm late shows last night were past most of the stars', and therefore their fans', bedtimes but "Expendables 3" limped to a late show gross of only $875,000, barely topping Weinstein's "The Giver" and falling short of "Let's Be Cops" late shows of $1.2 million on Tuesday night.

Can "Turtles" and "Guardians" Hold Off Sly & Co. For a Box Office Repeat???

There's a good chance that, for the first time this summer, we won't have a new opener crack the top two at the box office. Although "Expendables", "Let's Be Cops" and "The Giver" are on pace to open to three day numbers in the high teens or low 20's, it may not be enough to unseat Mikey, Donnie, R...

PREVIEW & PREDICTIONS: Octogenarian Onslaught, Fake Fuzz And "Giver"'s Gain Highlight This Week's New Releases

Ok so they're not actually octogenarians (although I wouldn't mind checking Sly's birth certificate, just to be sure) but they are "The Expendables 3" and they're back for more mirth and mayhem. In addition, the latest stab at the young adult novel crowd, "The Giver" debuts, as does Fox's fake-fuzz...

Raccoons Vs. Turtles This Weekend As "Guardians of the Galaxy" Tries To Hold Off A Bunch Of Teen Ninjas

Raccoons battling turtles sounds like "When Nature Attacks" on the Discovery Channel but no, it's what should be a very interesting weekend at the box office. I'd bet the ranch on raccoons in a real life fight and I'm guessing the same will happen on the big screen as well.
