Watch: Rachel Weisz & Tom Hiddleston In Handsome Trailer For Terence Davies' 'The Deep Blue Sea'

At one stage, 2011 threatened to be the year of Rachel Weisz, with no fewer than five films set for release and several potential awards contenders among them. But things haven't quite turned out as planned; she picked up good reviews for "The Whistleblower," but the film didn't get much traction, ...

Rachel Weisz Orders The Hot Loki From Behind In New 'The Deep Blue Sea' Poster

Last time we saw the handsome Tom Hiddleston he was moments from having the Tesseract in his hand at the close of "Thor." It looks like he's gotten his hands on a far more enchanting item in the poster for "The Deep Blue Sea," as he clutches the lovely Rachel Weisz in the throes of passion. Lucky Lo...

‘The Deep Blue Sea’ To Close BFI London Film Festival

Schoolboy euphemisms aside, there are presumably worse predicaments to find yourself in than being bookended by Rachel Weisz. No sooner had the organisers of the London Film Festival announced that one of Weisz’s forthcoming films would open the proceedings, Fernando Meirelles' “360,” when Empire got word that the actress’ long-awaited lead performance in Terence Davies’ “The Deep Blue Sea” will close out the festival. As is usually the case for the LFF, they’re cherry-picking the best of what’s on offer elsewhere. Both “360” and “The Deep Blue Sea” will premiere at Toronto in September, and the latter will also crop up at the San Sebasti...

Mark Ruffalo's The Hulk Will Be A Throwback To Bill Bixby's Portrayal

And More We Learned From The Filmmakers Of 'Thor'"Thor" is swinging its mighty hammer into cinemas this weekend, and it may be a surprise to many moviegoers, proving to be a lighter, jauntier superhero film that the material might suggest. The cast and filmmakers did the press rounds, and as usual, bits and pieces about what might be in store for the future Marvel universe were hinted at, but also just as intriguingly, the process on making "Thor" was brought to the fore as well. Playlist writer Leah Zak spoke with Marvel guru Kevin Feige in an interview as well as participating in group conversations with the rest of the "Thor" team and here...

Tom Hiddleston Confirms That Loki Won't Be Low-Key In 'The Avengers'

Tom Hiddleston has two 2011 releases where he's working with directing legends, a featured player in both Woody Allen's "Midnight In Paris" and Steven Spielberg's "War Horse." But undoubtedly, most audiences will see him as the villainous Loki in this Friday's "Thor." But could it be that Hiddleston...

Great Odin's Raven! Early Reviews Suggest 'Thor' Is Actually Kind Of Decent

The summer of superheroes is about to kick off, and it's only a matter of days until the world gets its first look at "Thor," Marvel's latest piece of an insanely ambitious five-film plan building towards next summer's team-up movie, "The Avengers." And for some time, it looked like the film had an uphill battle ahead of it -- last year's "Iron Man 2" was, at best, a disappointment, and early looks at "Thor" had veered from the underwhelming to the silly. But ahead of its release in some parts of the world next week, and the States on May 6th, the film has now screened, with the world premiere taking place in Sydney last night, and critics th...

First Look: Rachel Weisz & Tom Hiddleston In Terrence Davies' 'The Deep Blue Sea'

Terrence Davies doesn't make movies very often, but when he does, we sit up and pay attention because he is one of the masters. His last film was the documentary/memoir/tone poem "Of Time And The City," and that was four years ago. Eight years before then was "The House Of Mirth." So when it was ann...
