'The Spectacular Now,' 'Austenland' & 'The Look Of Love' Lead First Wave Of Sundance Acquisitions

The Sundance Film Festival has been underway for a few days now, but the buyers' market has been slow to get moving. It's not entirely surprising; as we documented last week, a run of disappointments has left distributors a little more cautious than in the past, and with few films attracting across-...

This long-gestating biopic of rapper Tupac Shakur backed by production shingle Morgan Creek just can't catch a break, can it? After seeing Antoine Fuqua come on board only to leave, return and then seemingly step aside for John Singleton, it looks like negotiations for the latter ...

Antoine Fuqua Signs Pay-Or-Play Deal That Keeps Tupac Biopic Moving

Production Leaning Towards Casting An Unknown In The Lead RoleAbout a weak ago, the Tupac biopic, which had been gearing up for much of the year, suddenly looked dead in the water. Antoine Fuqua's 'Tupac' Moving Ahead, Will Shoot Late Spring/Early Summer

Looks like some PR reps were playing their cards very close to the chest. Last month, some rumors began circulating about Antoine Fuqua's gestating biopic of rapper Tupac Shakur with an April start date being whispered for the film. We made some inquiries and were told an April production start for ...
