In case you missed it, Conan O'Brien shows what a masterful stand-up comedian with great writers can do to target a specific audience--the graduating class at Dartmouth College, whose black hats bob gratifyingly with every joke-- with viral video on the worldwide web in mind. (Video is below.) After...

Green Lantern Reviews: "Inert, Underwhelming," Reynolds "Little More than a Torso and a Smirk"

Warner/DC's Green Lantern wants to blow your mind, starting June 17, one day after its premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Even the more generous reviews below suggest that we shouldn't expect a mind-blowing quality film. (We see it Wednesday.) Best case scenario: the comics fanbase will jump...

Neil Patrick Harris Wraps Tony Awards with a Rap

Neil Patrick Harris did another yeoman job hosting the Tony Awards Sunday night, which sent Trey Parker and Matt Stone's best musical The Book of Mormon home with nine wins (I interviewed them here; the complete list of winners is here). One highlight was a host face-off with Hugh Jackman. (Yes, we want the Aussie song-and-dance man back as Oscar host--but if he can't do it, Harris would do!) Another was Harris's opener, during which Brooke Shields muffed her lines. In case you missed the show, Harris raps the Tony Awards to a close in the video, below, along with the lyrics, written during the show by In the Heights' Lin-Manuel Miranda and T...
