The first screening was held in Toronto, Canada, and the second screening t...

Post-Fall Film Festival Season: Five Movies We're Still Eagerly Awaiting

And Five We're Worried About/DreadingWith the Toronto International Film Festival now over, the dust is beginning to settle on 2011 and we're moving into the final stage of the fall movie season. Many, if not most, of autumn's Oscar season big hitters have now been revealed, leaving principally commercial fare, and a few prestige-y films that are rushing towards completion. As ever, the benefits of opening your Christmas presents early is a mixed bag; it means that we're able to firmly recommend some big fall films, movies like "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," "Shame" and "We Need To Talk About Kevin." It means we can also tell you to be wary of ...

Jason Reitman's 'Young Adult' Gets A Fantastic First Poster

While his previous efforts "Up In The Air" and "Juno" were boosted by early appearances on the fall film festival circuit, this year, Jason Reitman is choosing to keep things under wraps until much later in the season and there are a couple reasons for that. Firstly, sustaining early hype can be a challenge and while many pegged "Up In The Air" as a Best Picture winner after it wooed crowds at TIFF, that talk had deflated by time the end of the year had rolled around. Secondly, compared to 'Air' or "Juno," Reitman's "Young Adult" is a much darker, more prickly affair, for proof of which you need to look no further than new poster debuted at T...

First Look: Charlize Theron In Jason Reitman's 'Young Adult'

Plus First Look Photos Of Daniel Radcliffe In 'The Woman In Black' & 'The Big Year' With Owen Wilson & Jack BlackWhile the adult drama is seemingly endangered thanks to the hegemony of brand-based franchises and tentpoles there are still a few directors managing to convince the studio system to work within these limits. Sure, you can probably count them on one hand, but Jason Reitman, the filmmaker behind "Up In The Air," and "Juno" is one of these directors. It probably helps that these budgets aren't extraneous, but we'll take what we can get. So here's a first look at one of The Playlist's most anticipated films of 2011, "Young Adult" star...

Jason Reitman's 'Young Adult' Will Apparently Skip The Fall Festival Circuit

There is no denying that the fall festival circuit has been very good to director Jason Reitman. Both "Juno" and "Up In The Air" premiered at Telluride, wowed crowds at TIFF and built on that momentum to have very successful awards season runs. With this latest film now slated for December release, ...

Jason Reitman's 'Young Adult' Starring Charlize Theron & Patrick Wilson Hits On December 9th

Jason Reitman better get on the phone with his tailor now and get an order in on a couple of suits because it looks like he's once again going to be doing a marathon through the awards season following back-to-back hits "Juno" and "Up In The Air."

Synopsis For Jason Reitman’s ‘Young Adult’ Mostly Reveals Main Character's 'Waverly Prep' Book

Since his 2005 debut, "Thank You For Smoking," director Jason Reitman ( "Up In the Air," "Juno") has been releasing a film, almost like clockwork, every two years. The next one, written by Diablo Cody, who obviously wrote "Juno," is essentially complete and stars Charlize Theron, Patton Oswalt, Patr...
