Fox Pushes Back Spy Thriller 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' Starring Colin Firth (TRAILER)

One Comic-Con movie that I actually wanted to see has been pushed back from October 24 to February 2015. It's Matthew Vaughn's spy flick "Kingsman: The Secret Service," which to be fair, looks like it might play better in a less competitive time frame.

Fox's presentations at Comic-Con emphasized finding new ways of being fresh and relevant, as the studio is targeting the male demo with "The Maze Runner," its young adult answer to "The Hunger Games," along with Matthew Vaughn's Bondian "Kingsman: The Secret Service," and a second adaptation of the ...

Love It...First Trailer For Fox's "Kingsman: The Secret Service" Drops

They had me at "From Matthew Vaughn". The director of "X-Men: First Class", the horrifically underrated "Kick-Ass" and "Layer Cake" comes the neat little spy thriller, "Kingsman: The Secret Service", starring Colin Firth, Michael Caine and Taron Egerton. Fox releases the film October 24th. Enjoy ...

Bella Heathcote And Emma Watson In Running For 'Secret Service' Female Lead, Unknown Taron Egerton Set For Lead

Well, it looks like "The Secret Service," the next Matthew Vaughn-directed adaptation of a Mark Millar comic book, is almost fully staffed with secret agents. According to a Variety report, newcomer Taron Egerton has landed the lead role of a young street tough who is turned into a super spy, in a s...

‘Chronicle’ Star Michael B. Jordan Considered For Human Torch In ‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot

According to The Wrap, the first member of the rebooted “Fantastic Four” might be cast – Michael B. Jordan, who co-starred in director Josh Trank’s previous movie, the more-clever-than-it-had-any-right-to-be “Chronicle,” seems to be in contention to play The Human Torch aka Johnny Storm. The reboot ...

Colin Firth To Lead Matthew Vaughn's Spy Blockbuster 'The Secret Service'

As an actor, Colin Firth has proved remarkably resilient over his thirty-year career. After breaking through in 1984's "Another Country," a series of strong performances followed that never quite saw him become a huge star. But suddenly, 1995's TV version of "Pride & Prejudice" made him a heartthrob...

Mark Millar Claims 'Kick Ass 2' Will Shoot This Summer: 5 Other Things He's Said That Never Happened

Oh, Mark Millar. In an industry where hyperbole and exaggeration are king, Mark Millar is on a whole other level, always eager to talk about himself and his films with whoever is willing to listen, often feeding the machine with lots of excitement about projects that are premature to say the least. ...

Matthew Vaughn Eyes Adaptations Of Mark Millar's 'Superior' & 'The Secret Service'

Even though "X-Men: First Class" was a big hit, earning over $350 million worldwide, Matthew Vaughn has kept a low profile since the summer with barely a peep out of the director. He's likely been recharging his batteries after a whirlwind production and press tour that saw him rushing to get the superhero movie locked in time, all while talking to basically everybody on the planet about the film. While there was much talk of a '70s or '80s set 'First Class' sequel in the run up to the film's release, that chatter has pretty much died off. While Fox has "The Wolverine" on deck for their next trip in to the 'X-Men' franchise, Vaughn is beginni...

Good News/Bad News: 'X-Men: First Class' Blu-Ray/DVD Will Feature 13 (Short) Deleted Scenes

"X-Men: First Class" has grossed $132 million since its June 3rd release, so why wouldn't 20th Century Fox start leaking details about the eventual Blu-ray/DVD release? According to Bleeding Cool, via Cinema Blend, the "First Class" Blu-ray and DVD will include 13 deleted scenes which is enough to m...

'X-Men: First Class': The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

By this point, it's more than likely that you've checked out "X-Men: First Class" (although its underwhelming box office suggests that there were fewer of you than we thought). And, if the film's strong exit scores are anything to go by, you, like most of The Playlist team, found it as entertaining ...
