Rosie Perez Is A Big Fan of 'The Fighter'

Last night, the beautifully designed, newly re-opened Museum of the Moving Image in Queens hosted a screening of “The Fighter,” the first film in their David O. Russell retrospective. That screening was followed by an hour-long conversation between Russell himself and long-time friend and filmmaker Spike Jonze. Jonze interviewed Russell on the condition that when Jonze had a new film out, the Museum would do his retrospective and Russell would return the favor and interview him. (Keep up the great programming, guys, seriously.) It was a candid, funny chat that zig-zagged through Russell’s entire career, starting with his Sundance splash “Span...

The relationship between director Spike Jonze and writer Charlie Kaufman has resulted in two of the greatest meta-comedies of all time: 1999's "Being John Malkovich" and 2002's "Adaptation." And while the two have tackled their own projects in recent years with Jonze bringing the wild, tortured hear...

Watch: Spike Jonze Directed Video For Arcade Fire's 'The Suburbs'

After a rather bombastic, portentous second album, "Neon Bible," indie-rock favorites Arcade Fire came back in force this year with the excellent "The Suburbs," a near-concept record that paired the band's usual apocalyptic themes with images from suburban life. It sounds like it shouldn't work, but...
