Rick’s notoriously always late. I think it’s a “power thing”, a “father thing”, a “God complex”. If I know what I know, I know he’s got his reasons for everything. I’m sure he’s late on purpose. I mean, 5 minutes is One thing, but 15 minutes Late for his REHEARSALS with his ACTORS? He said he was “location scouting”, whatever That means, but um….Like the Actors aren’t THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE walking around on a movie set! PUH-LEEEEEEEZE. Guess what, No ACTORS, NO MOVIE. I mean, Really. Like the camera man Really matters. Like um….The SET, like That reeeeealllly Matters. Yeah, uh huh, Right. Sure. Like the Props guy Reeeeaaaaaallllly matters. You know? Guess WHAT PROP MASTER (Prop MASTER?! Don’t flatter yourself!), I’ve studied Mime! You’re not there, I MIME the object and they computer the missing Prop in Later, in Post Production.

speaking of Mime…..

So many mimes in the cast! Woo-Hoo! We had such a fun rehearsal today. Nicky, Vonnie, Steve, Jace and Ajay ALL mimed Muscal Instruments! Yeah, Right ON! Rick brought his boom box, and the boys got up and did some Air Band! It was so INTENSE! IN. TENSE. Rick’s a Huge Journey fan, and he put on Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin’ and the guys Jammed, MAN. Me and Amie, and Dina Spivey (she just got in today!) all acted like Fans and groupies. The boys took turns singing vocals (flipped coins), and Rick even joined in…but Rick SANG, he didn’t “air it”. It was AWESOME.

…and then the real kicker was when Dina Spivey got up and did some Strip Teeze. She’s in that Stripper movie, with Demi Moore, and she finds it hard to Shake that movie off of her. She was Reaaaaaaly Awesome, too, and there’s even a possibility that Bee-Bee, the suicidal weirdo, has the tendency to take all her clothes off and Dance. Rick was TOTALLY into it, as were all the guys…I am too, though, I mean whatever Works, whatever it takes….

….hush hush, though….If Eric Bagosian finds out what a Butchery of his script we’re doing, he’ll get really upset.

……But then again, maybe he’d write a one man show about it and perform at The Public. It’ll just Hype the movie.

Anyway. It was a Music day today. We Jammed. Wow. It was fun. We chose our characters Instrument. Like….

Amie: Harp

Vonnie: Guitar

Nicky: Banjo

Jayce: Electric Guitar

Steve: the Mandolin

Rick: Base

Dina: maracas (sp?)

Me: Flute

And we walked around in character, using our musical instruments as “inspiration”. 3 types of “inspiration”: 1) physical 2) spiritual 3) sexual. We hummed and sung and made noise and Moved and danced around.

I worry about Rick and his attachment to the cast. He really wants to be an actor, and is even toying around with putting himself in various scenes in different disguises. He told us all today that he’s always wanted to play someone with a patch over his eye. ! Weird, huh? I don’t understand it at All, and it’s troubling me, ’cause I can’t decide when the best moment will be for me to give him my Notes on the script. Like when is Rick gonna be in the best state to read my notes and think about the lines I wanna add? I don’t have many lines, you know? I hope next week, when we start working on the script. We’re into acting games Now. Now is the time to Play. To be Free. To Throw it all to the Wind.

Well. I’m tired and I don’t wanna eat anything, so I’m gonna take a sleeping pill, and fall asleep!

Ajay and Jayce both have colds, b.t.w……from their character work in the rain.
