Tavernier's "Conan" Victorious in Denver

Last week, winners were announced at the Denver Film Festival. Bertrand
Tavernier’s “Capitaine Conan” was awarded the festival’s Krzysztof
Kieslowski’s Award for Best European Film and the People’s Choice Award for
Best Feature Length Fiction Film. In the other People’s Choice category,
Michael Moore’s new film, “The Big One” was named Best Feature Length
Documentary. The festival’s 1997 Breakthrough Award went to Jonathan
Kaufer’s “Bad Manners” and a special jury prize was presented to Constance
Marks’ “Green Chimneys“.
