Martha's Flavor Fest Names Advisory Board

A new fest has sprouted up in another idyllic location, this time on
Martha’s Vineyard, off the coast of Massachusetts. To take place in August
of 1998, Martha’s Flavor Fest & Script Competition will specialize in
supporting independent black filmmakers, and “will accept material from any
filmmaker who demonstrates creative abilities within black cinema.” As of
this writing, their advisory board consists of: Cecil Cox, Acquisitions &
Development for Mundy Lane Entertainment; Julie Dash, Director of
“Daughters of the Dust”; Bridget Davis-VP of Film and Television for
Edmonds Entertainment; Sam Kitt, President of Production, 40 Acres and a
Mule; George Tillman, Director and Bob Teitel, Producer, “Soul Food“, and
Deborah Schindler, Producer, “Waiting to Exhale” and “How Stella Got Her
Groove Back
