Overseas Filmgroup Licenses Eleven Films to HBO

Indie distributor Overseas Filmgroup, Inc. completed the sale of eleven
films to Home Box Office, (HBO). The titles include; “Drive,” an action
film by Steve Wang, Berit Nesheim’s “The Other Side of Sunday,” 1996
Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Language Film, “Alive and Kicking,”
written by Martin Sherman, “Jerusalem” directed by Billie August and “This
is the Sea
” starring Richard Harris and Gabriel Byrne.

“Overseas Filmgroup and First Look Pictures have a great track record of
identifying, acquiring and distributing quality independent films
throughout the world. We’re happy to be bringing some of these films to our
subscribers,” explained Doris Casap, Director of Film Acquisitions for HBO.

Overseas Filmgroup, Inc. specializes in the acquisition and worldwide
distribution of independently produced feature films of all genres. First
Look Pictures, its domestic theatrical releasing operation, was launched in
1994. It’s 1997 releases include “A Brother’s Kiss” and “Johns“.
