The Sundance Institute announced the line-up for this week’s Sundance
Theater Program to be held in conjunction with the Sundance Film Festival,
in Park City. “Direct From The Sundance Theater Lab” will include two
plays: “Mystery School” by Paul Selig and “The Gimmick” by Dael

Actress Tyne Daly stars in “Mystery School” on Monday, January 19th.
Directed by Doug Hughes, “School” follows five women as they search for
spiritual life at the end of the millennium. “The Gimmick” premieres on
Wednesday, January 21st, and will be performed by Orlandersmith. The play
is about two friends in Harlem who share a passion for art.

Following, “The Gimmick”‘s performance, a post-performance dialogue will be
hosted by actress Glenn Close, a member of the Sundance Institute Board of
Trustees. The conversation will be with Orlandersmith about the rewards and
challenges of creating in today’s theater.
