Manhattan Gets Phat in February

The short film upstart Phat Shorts has announced its lineup — a diverse
collection showcasing some of the more popular shorts of last year’s
festival circuit including “Anna in the Sky“, “Meat“, and two from this
year’s Sundance Film Festival: “Melvyn Schmatzman, Freudian Dentist,” and
Breeze“. A total of 23 films are set to be spaced over every Monday night
in February, this year slated to unspool at the Cantor Film Center in
Manhattan. Since the festival’s premiere in 1995, created by Andre
Hereford and Packawallop Productions, the event has always accepted
donations for admission. The festival is sponsored by HBO and Remy Martin.
