Lions Gate Nabs "Snitch" and "Affliction"

Lions Gate Releasing announced the acquisition of two films this week, Ted
Demme’s “Snitch” and Paul Schrader’s “Affliction,” both of which screened at
the 1998 Sundance Film Festival.

Demme’s “Snitch,” which stars Denis Leary, Famke Janssen, Ian Hart, Colm
Meany, Martin Sheen, and Billy Crudup. The film is “the story of several
friends born and raised in the working-class Irish enclave of Charlestown in
Boston,” according to the company. It will be released this fall under a new
