A Closer Look at Ashcroft

As the New York Times reports today, U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft was apparently not that focused on terrorism prior to 9/11. The paper writes: Draft reports by the independent commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks portray Attorney General John Ashcroft as largely uninterested in counterterrorism issues before Sept. 11 despite intelligence warnings that summer that Al Qaeda was planning a large, perhaps catastrophic, terrorist attack, panel officials and others with access to the reports have said.

Yet, Filmmaker Magazine cited one topic that is on Ashcroft’s mind: porn (as underscored by a recent report on the government’s new “war on pornograpy”). As further evidence, magazine editor Scott Macaulay offers an adults only link depicting the face of Ashcroft, created by a collage of tiny pornographic images.
