Lollapalooza Got Cool Again

Lollapalooza Got Cool Again

I remember when Lollapalooza was the pinnacle of summer concert cool. And we all know how that movie ended… but the sequel, The Return of Lollapalooza if you will, looks to be a bigger and better package altogether. Today, they announced the mostly complete lineup of bands scheduled to take part in the now two-day event as it makes it away across the nation. What’s more, two-day passes are going for a meager $50. That’s insane. Here’s crossing my fingers that they will actually turn a profit and teach the mainstream music industry that music still matters and that great music can still make legitimate money. The lineup?
DAY ONE: Morrissey, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, PJ Harvey, Le Tigre, Broken Social Scene, The Secret Machines, The Datsuns, Danger Mouse, and more…
DAY TWO: The Flaming Lips, The String Cheese Incident, The Polyphonic Spree, Gomez, Elbow, Wheat, The Thrills, and more…
More artists are due to be added soon. But really, can it get much better than all this?
