The 10th Philadelphia International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, the east coast’s largest LGBT film fest, has announced its 2004 lineup. This year’s program includes nearly 200 features, shorts, and documentaries from 22 countries. Running July 15-27, the event will kick off with Ian Iqbal Rashid‘s “Touch of Pink.” Angela Robinson‘s teenage secret-agent story “D.E.B.S.,” which first appeared as a short last year, winning Best Lesbian Short, will close the festival. In addition to screenings, the festival will host more than a dozen events and parties.

Featured films this year include Miguel Albaladejo‘s parenthood comedy “Bearcub,” Rodney Evans‘ festival favorite “Brother to Brother,” Michael Mayer‘s “A Home at the End of the World,” and Sebastian Lifshitz‘s latest, “Wild Side.” Other slated highlights include Franco Zeffirelli‘s “Callas Forever,” Tennyson Bardwell‘s “Dorian Blues,” Brett C. Leonard‘s “Jailbait,” and two gay-themed horror films: “HellBent” and “Make a Wish.”

Recipients of this year’s artistic achievement awards will be actor Alan Cumming, “Monster’s Ball” and “The Woodsman” producer Lee Daniels, and “The L Word” actor-writer Guinevere Turner. Each recipient will appear to discuss their work.

Frank DeCaro, film critic for “The Daily Show,” will host a clip reel event entitled “Flaming Screens,” poking fun at Hollywood and its oft-ignored and at times unintentional gay undertones. Todd Stephens, writer of “Edge of Seventeen,” will host a staged reading of his new screenplay “Another Gay Movie,” with Scott Thompson scheduled to perform.
