Sexual Perversity in Chicago

Sexual Perversity in Chicago

That title may get your attention, but that’s not the point. And it also doesn’t say much about what’s going on except for two facts: 1. I spent yesterday in Chicago (but without any sexual perversity) and 2. I coincidentally just picked up the DVD copy of the movie version of the David Mamet play of the same name (the movie, for those who don’t know, is About Last Night…).

So, without any sexual perversity but with coincidental DVDs to add to the collection, I’m back in Texas. Last night, after Chicago, we drove back to Detroit (and I flew out of there this afternoon). It was a pretty quiet drive last night, made more interesting by stops in towns like Ann Arbor. Which, for a college town, had a serious lack of late-night eateries open for business. We also drove down Eminem’s 8 Mile Rd. Not for any sort of of cult fascination or touristy enthusiasm. It was because we had to, to get where we were going.

Now that I’ve returned to Austin, it’s time to unpack. And maybe watch a movie. Enough talk. Enough talk about last night…
