Last night, a group of us went to see the Brian Jonestown Massacre and Guided by Voices play a show at the Henry Fonda Theatre. Being a big fan of the film DIG!, I was prepared for Anton Newcombe of BJM to freak out on the crowd. Aside from a few comments, he was on his best behavior, and the band was tight. Meanwhile, Guided by Voices was all over the place as leader Bob Pollard drank himself silly between songs.

I’m spending my last full day in L.A tying up all the loose ends, including getting my rental car stuff in order, especially after the vandalism of a few days ago. This afternoon, Brian Brooks and I went to Malibu for lunch and Bloody Marys and Pina Coladas… it was nice to be on a beach again.

On to the rest of the night, the last night of this AFI/AFM adventure…
